Simple tools and practical guidance for building safer password habits.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Cybersecurity student and founder of SecurePass
Hi, I’m Glodie Johnilla, the founder of SecurePass.
I am a Cybersecurity student at Manchester Metropolitan University with a strong interest in security awareness, digital protection and helping people feel safer online. I created SecurePass to turn technical password guidance into simple, practical tools that people can understand and use immediately.
What began as revisiting a university assessment soon developed into a much bigger idea: creating an accessible platform that could help students and wider communities build safer online habits. Sometimes an idea begins quietly and grows into something with real purpose—and that is how SecurePass began.
HOW IT STARTED
SecurePass grew from a university project into an idea with the potential to support wider communities.
SecurePass began while revisiting a Cybersecurity university assessment.
The project revealed an opportunity to make password guidance easier to understand.
The vision grew towards supporting students, schools and communities with practical security education.
SecurePass was created to help students understand the importance of strong passwords and improve their cybersecurity awareness.
The platform provides a password strength checker, password generator and practical security tips to encourage safer online habits.
Many people understand that passwords are important but do not always know what makes a password secure.
SecurePass turns technical guidance into accessible tools that users can understand and use immediately.
Weak and reused passwords can make it easier for cybercriminals to access personal accounts and information.
By creating strong passwords and following good cybersecurity practices, users can better protect their online accounts.
Passwords entered into SecurePass are processed locally inside the user’s browser.
The current version of SecurePass does not store passwords, create user accounts or transmit entered passwords to a database.
OUR VISION
SecurePass aims to support students, schools, universities and wider communities through practical cybersecurity education that is easy to understand and apply.
